Ena is a Fish!!

Here is a video of our little 3 year old Ena swimming. I don't know where she learned how to swim! All summer she has gotten better and better and more daring. She just jumps right in and takes off. It's pretty amazing and scary at the same time..she's not scared at all..so she'll jump in without warning and so I have to keep a close eye on her..but who knows it looks like we might have the next Michael Phelps on our hands.:)

Summer

This summer Megan came to stay with us. While she was here she took care of our neighbor's twin boys...so we spent a lot of time together at the library and the park and swimming. We had a lot of fun together! Here are some pictures from our last time to the park before school started and before Megan left for Nacogdoches.

First Day of School

Bradley started 1st grade this year. So far he is loving it. He told me that 1st grade is way better than kindergarten.:) He has a great teacher and even has a couple of friends from last year and from church in his class. Ena is missing him like crazy but we start a co-op preschool next week and she is really excited to have her own thing.:)

Blog Strike

I have been on a blog strike until my baby countdown reached under a hundred. It feels like I've been pregnant FOREVER! I am finally getting into my 3rd trimester so only 3 months to go. I found out this week that I have gestational diabetes. I am not very happy about giving up sweets but I want my baby to be strong and healthy so I'll be changing what I eat.

I am trying to catch up on all our summer happenings so be looking for lots of updates.:) We've had a great summer and I am sad to see it go! I can't believe Bradley is in 1st grade now. We are going to miss him next week when he starts back to school!

Lindsey Reunion

My Great Great Grandparents were William and Martha Lindsey. They had 16 kids and every year we have a Lindsey reunion in East Texas. I am so proud to be apart of this great family! I got to do a special presentation for my Grandmother while we were there. It was really special to be able to share my favorite memories of her. I miss her so much. It was really nice to be able to see her sisters and be with family.

Both kids wanted to sit in my dad's lap. He said he was going to have to start being the mean ole grandpa again...but I think it secretly made him happy.:)

Two sets of my Great Great Grandparents, two sets of my Great Grandparents and my Grandparents are all buried in the Kelsey, TX cemetery plus countless aunts and uncles and cousins. We stopped by on our way home. Both of my dad's parents grew up in Kelsey, Texas. Even though now it is only a ghost town it is one of my favorite places to visit.

The Zoo

They had half price at the zoo the 1st week in August. So my neighbor, Stephanie, took the day off and we headed to the Dallas Zoo with our 5 kiddos. Even in the heat we had a lot of fun! I keep hearing that the Fort Worth Zoo is better than the Dallas Zoo but I think the Dallas Zoo is amazing so it's hard to imagine anything better..

We love the Gorilla exhibit! They are sooo close! He looked like he wanted to say something to us.:)


The penguins were putting on a show for everyone!

We all got a good laugh at how this elephant was standing with it's back legs crossed.:)
