Jayhawks!!

A couple of weeks ago Mike asked me if I wanted to go to the KU vs. Baylor game in Waco. I said "Sure..if your mom wants to fly in and babysit." He called her totally expecting her to say no, but she must have really been missing us because she said yes.:) She flew in Monday morning and we went to the game that night and she flew back home Tuesday afternoon.

We had so much fun at the game! It was pretty close until the end when KU got up by 10 points and won the game! All the KU fans were chanting "Rock Chalk Jayhawk KU!" And all the Baylor fans were leaving...Here are some pictures of our fun night out...

moments

I was looking at my camera the other day and noticed there were some pictures on my internal memory that I had forgotten to post. They are pretty random but definitely moments I want to remember.:)

Ena has always been the best sleeper..sleeping through the night at 6 weeks old. But once she learned how to climb out her crib it's been nothing but trouble. Once she figured out that if she came out her room we would just put her back in bed she started going into her closet and pulling all her clothes out of her dresser and trying everything on. Most of the time we would catch her and change her back in to her PJ's and put her back to bed but I guessed this night she must of been extra quiet because she came down the next morning dressed like this...

Right before Christmas I worked on Ena's room. We found her a big girl bed off of craigslist and I cute little girl comforter at Target. She was very excited to have a comforter with pink! Pink is her very favorite color...she wants pink diapers, pink clothes, pink shoes and pink cereal. Too bad I already painted her room purple...

One night I hadn't heard the kids for awhile so I snuck up the stairs to check on them. I found them watching tv with Ena in Bradley's lap..they looked so cute.:) I love how much they love each other. I hope they always stay this close.

Ean and I matched the Sunday before Christmas...she thought it was so cool that her dress was the same material as my shirt...so we had to take a picture.:)

I am so grateful for the little moments we share as a family!

Sleeping Princess

I totally forgot to post this picture of Ena...it's too cute...this was taken when my family was here. Ena was tired but not ready to go to bed..we were all visiting when she decided to lay just like this and go to sleep...

I'm not sure how she stayed on but it sure was cute.:)

New Orleans

Last week I got to accompany Mike on a business trip down to New Orleans, Louisiana. We dropped the kids off at my parents(on my mom's 60th Birthday..sorry mama! I love you!! Thank you!!) We had such a fun time being together and spending time with some of the people Mike works with. We had a few meetings and then we got to explore the streets of New Orleans.

We took a carriage ride pulled by a mule...

I got a pedicure while we were there..it was so nice..but since it's winter I knew I wouldn't be showing my toes off too much..so I had to take a picture.:)

The weather has been so crazy lately..we've had a lot of beautiful sunny days but then all of a sudden we'll have a freezing cold day. The other day Bradley came home from school to an icicle wonderland. They were on the trees and house and fence..Bradley had fun collecting some...

trouble

I am usually pretty good at having a child proof house but this past week with a house full of people and their stuff everywhere and knowing my kids there was bound to be trouble. Ena and her best friend Savannah found my sisters make up and decided to try it on..

Family pictures are very stressful for our family..we are not photogenic. Our pictures usually turn out like this:

My sister Amber is a very good photographer but after taking grandkid pictures and trying to get one with us and Mazi..My kids were done. So a couple of days later I took the kids with my not too fancy camera and tried to get some shots of them..

Ahhhh! There is so much to update on!! I love Christmas! I am so sad that is over! Where to start..The Monday before Christmas we acted out the Christmas stories with some of our friends...

We had a nice quiet Christmas with just our little family.:) I've never seen my kids go to bed so fast and with such little fuss as on Christmas Eve.:) This year was the first year that Bradley woke up early and had to wake us up.:) We had some friends over for Christmas dinner and all the kids played.:)

Mike went over the Christmas story one last time before we went down stairs to open presents.

The week after Christmas everyone in my family except for my brother and one brother-in-law came to celebrate the Holidays together. We had so much fun!! All together there were 23 of us. The kids had so much fun being together.:) We did crafts, had a talent show, went to the park, went bowling and laser tag, we went shopping, and out to eat and just enjoyed being together.:) I've got the best family! 23 people can make a lot of trash!! Our garbage man had to back up to our driveway to get everything..

This week I realized once again how lucky I am to share my life with Mike. Some guys would really struggle having a house packed of in-laws.:) Mike was right in the middle having a great time and taking care of food and rides and giving my sisters advice about life and boys.:)(I don't know if they ever listen but at least they know he cares):) I feel very blessed to have him by my side.
